Accident Insurance in Safety Harbor
A broken wrist or an ER visit can leave you owing your whole deductible. Accident insurance pays you set cash amounts after a covered injury. We look at your current coverage first, then tell you plainly if an accident plan makes sense for you.
What accident insurance does, and when it fits
Accident insurance is a supplemental plan. It does not replace your health insurance. When you get hurt in a covered accident, it pays a fixed amount for things like a fracture, a dislocation, an ER visit, an ambulance ride or a hospital stay. The money goes to you, and you decide how to use it.
It tends to fit people with a high deductible, families with kids in sports, and anyone who works with their hands or spends weekends on the water. It does not cover illness. If your deductible is low and you have savings to cover it, you may not need one, and we will say so.
Before we show you a single plan, we read through what you already have. That way any recommendation starts from your real numbers, not a guess.

What you get when you work with us
- 01
A review of your current plan
We go over your health plan's deductible, out-of-pocket max and what you pay for ER and urgent care. You get a plain summary of where an injury would hit your wallet.
- 02
Side-by-side options
We pull accident plans from more than one carrier and lay them next to each other. You see the benefit amounts, the premium and the exclusions in one place.
- 03
The fine print, read out loud
We point out what each plan will not pay for, any waiting periods, and whether it covers injuries on and off the job. No surprises later.
- 04
Help with enrollment
Once you pick a plan, we walk you through the application by phone, by video or at our office.
- 05
Help at claim time
If you get hurt, we can explain what paperwork the carrier needs. The carrier makes the claim decision, but you will not be left guessing.
Questions about Accident Insurance?
Call(727) 761-4591Signs an accident plan may be worth a look
Your deductible is high
If one trip to the ER would mean paying thousands before your plan kicks in, cash from an accident plan can fill that gap.
Your kids play sports
Sprains, broken fingers and stitches come with youth sports. A family accident plan pays out for each covered child who gets hurt.
You work a physical job
Ladders, tools and long days on your feet raise the odds of an injury. Some plans pay for off-the-job injuries only, so we check which kind fits your work.
You stay active outdoors
Boating, biking and fishing are a big part of life around Tampa Bay. More time outside means more chances for a bad fall.
Missing work would hurt
Accident benefits are paid to you, so the cash can cover rent or groceries while you heal, not just medical bills.

What sets the price of an accident plan
Accident plans are usually one of the lower-cost add-ons you can buy, but premiums still vary quite a bit. Here is what moves the number. Having us look costs you nothing. Our pay comes from the carrier you end up picking, so you never get a bill from us.
- People on the plan
- A plan for just you costs less than one that adds a spouse or children. Family coverage adds premium but covers everyone under one plan.
- Benefit amounts
- Plans that pay more for each fracture, ER visit or hospital day cost more each month. We help you match the payouts to your deductible so you do not overbuy.
- On or off the job
- Off-the-job plans are often cheaper. Round-the-clock plans cover injuries at work too, which can matter if your job is physical.
- Extra riders
- Some carriers let you add benefits like higher hospital pay or follow-up care. Each one adds cost, so we only bring them up when they fit you.
Accident insurance questions we hear a lot
Does accident insurance replace my health insurance?
No. It is a supplement and pays a set cash amount after a covered injury. You still need a health plan for doctor visits, illness and big bills. If you need one, we can help with individual health insurance or ACA Marketplace plans too.
Does it pay even if my health plan already paid?
In most cases, yes. Accident benefits are paid to you based on the injury, not on what your health plan covered. We check each carrier's terms with you before you pick one.
Does it cover getting sick?
No. Accident plans only pay for injuries from covered accidents. Illness is handled by your health insurance.
Is there a waiting period?
It depends on the carrier and the plan. Some start paying soon after the effective date, others have a short wait for certain benefits. We show you the start date and any waiting periods in writing before you enroll.
Can I buy it outside open enrollment?
Many accident plans can be bought any time of year, unlike most major medical plans. If you are already shopping for health coverage during open enrollment, it can make sense to look at both together.
Do I have to come to your office?
No. Most clients talk with us over the phone or on a video call, and you are welcome to stop by our office if you would rather sit down face to face. We help people in Safety Harbor, Clearwater, Dunedin, Oldsmar and the towns around them.
